I am from Loughborough in the East Midlands, and my undergraduate degree was here at the University of Manchester in the School of Chemistry. I did MChem Chemistry with a research project in inorganic synthesis.
I recently completed my PhD based on radionuclide-containing colloids in the conditions relevant to effluent treatment processes at Sellafield. My PostDoc project is a continuation of this work, focussing on uranium based particulate matter in legacy facilities at the Sellafield site.
Outside of work I like to stay active. I play sport quite regularly, in particular football. I also enjoy cooking (and eating) and reading.
